Nap time. Time to reorganize, prioritize and reenergize.
Most days by this time I find that I have completed one or none of the items on my to do list, I have texted my mommy friend my failures and frustrations at least twice, and I’m lucky if I have showered. Today is no different. Except today, I have decided to start a blog.
I have found myself wanting and needing to share my stories, frustrations, celebrations and ideas with others for sometime now. I kept pushing the idea to the back of my mind, not quite sure how to begin. Today I decided to just start. So here I am. Watching the first snow fall of the season and penning down my thoughts.
For me, reading blogs and watching vlogs has given me encouragement, enjoyment and inspiration. In any given circumstance I can find a blog or vlog to help me navigate my needs; how to bake pork chops, celebrating holidays, pregnancy announcements, stories about why my toddler is throwing a fit. However, there is one topic that has been more difficult for me to find others to relate to: having a child with gross motor delays.
Danny and I have an amazing three year old named Olive. She has gross motor delays and utilizes a walker and braces to effectively walk. Having Olive has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I hope that by sharing our stories those in similar circumstances can find someone to relate to and those who are curious can gain a better understanding.
Thank you for taking time to come along with us.
